Mark Rochon was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He came to Chicago
to study film at Northwestern University in 1990. Upon graduation in 1994,
Mark
stumbled
into a job working for Spark Network Services, a company that runs telephone
and Internet dating services. While not the job Mark ever envisioned doing
after college, it paid well and allowed him to pursue his artistic interests
including helping to form Elastic Revolution Productions (ERP). Through his
involvement with ERP, Mark has been able to develop a community of good friends
and rewarding artistic projects. Currently, Mark is working on a career in
screenwriting, the promotion of his ambient, rock band, Slumber Sonics, and
helping the Elastic Arts Foundation, ERP’s new incarnation, grow into
a successful non-for-profit arts organization.
