The Bill Brickey Singer Song Writer Series::
Tonights show features Tony Polecastro fledgling engineer and skilled guitarist on his first foray in to the world of the Singer Songwriter.
The second performer is his partner in crime Mitch Nelson. Mitch is a skilled Luthier and master of multiple intruments tonite he will grace us with some of his original fingerstyle compositions.
Our third Performer is the lady herself. Hope Litwin, now a Chicago resident, she provides us with her own experience of inspiration and expression. Grey Ghost
the duo of Aram Shelton (saxophone/computer) and drummer/keyboardist Johnathan Crawford perform for the first time in a long time. Their innovative synthesis of electronic and acoustic music sounds waxes of studio manipulation, but everything the duo creates is done live. A laptop computer samples and processes the sound of Shelton's horn playing and Crawford's synthesizer and melodica so that the duo can essentially improvise collectively with themselves on other instruments, creating a diverse palette of colors and textures.
Minuend Ensemble
Removing or subtraction is a creative act in itself. What one takes away or doesn’t do should be as (if not more) important than what they are adding. featuring: kevin davis (cello), aram shelton (reeds), jason roebke (bass), frank rosaly (percussion/ electronics), greg hamilton (piano), brian labycz (electronics)
Eric Leonardson/Carol Genetti duo
eric and carol have been performing together for several years; eric's home-built springboard percussion and carol genetti’s vocal techniques combine and play off each other to develop a unique language of experimental sound.
